Madge

I remember when Madge asked me to prom. The question brightened up my day a great deal. She cited that she wanted to escape the fate of becoming a crazy cat-lady; it's what happens to many girls who do not go to prom, it seemed. It actually took me a few weeks to give her a definitive answer, though I said that I would like to as soon as she asked. I was not a very happy person at the time and I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be going for the wrong reasons. Then I said yes. I'm very glad I did.

The Next Quarter
